Adam Adrian Crown, Maître d'Armes is a Classical and Historical Fencing Master and the owner of Salle d'Armes du Lion in Ithaca, New York. Maître Crown received his fencing master diploma in 1980 under the tutelage of Maître Jean-Jacques Gillet, then-head fencing coach at Cornell University. He is also a third degree black belt in karate and has studied a variety of martial disciplines including iaido, aikido, ju jistsu and boxing. He has a bachelors degree in cinema studies and a masters degree in organizational communication, both from Ithaca College. Maître Crown is an avid horseman and enjoys playing flamenco guitar. Michael Cummins is a student with a great interest in history, social and otherwise, which has lead him to numerous books (including those by Sabatini) and, in turn, many films.
Julia Jacobi is an university student from Toronto, majoring in economics and mathematics. She also studies languages and social sciences (mainly history). Her hobbies are reading, travelling, and sports.
Jesse F. Knight (1946 - 2008) published fiction (including swashbucklers), non-fiction, and plays in a variety of national and international publications. He researched Sabatini's life and work for many years and visited Sabatini sites in Switzerland (where Sabatini went to school, vacationed, and is buried), Portugal (where Sabatini attended school), Italy (where Sabatini was born) and England (where Sabatini lived). He served for two years as Founding President of The Rafael Sabatini Society and is the author of "The Last of the Great Swashbucklers: A Bio-Bibliography of Rafael Sabatini."
